My Responsibilities
UX & Design Leadership
I took ownership of the complete user experience for Aquilana's digital presence. As Design Lead, I coordinated the design team, established visual standards, and ensured brand consistency across all touchpoints. Every design decision – from information architecture to micro-interactions – went through my review to maintain a cohesive experience.
Working with stakeholders across the organization, I translated complex business requirements into user-centered solutions. Health insurance is inherently complicated; my job was to make it feel simple for users while respecting regulatory constraints.
Premium Calculator
The premium calculator is where potential customers make their decision – it's the most critical touchpoint on any health insurance website. I designed the complete UX flow and collaborated with an external agency on the technical implementation.
My approach focused on reducing cognitive load: breaking complex inputs into digestible steps, providing smart defaults, showing real-time premium updates, and preventing errors before they happen. Close coordination with the development agency ensured the final product matched my UX vision pixel-perfectly.
Ongoing Platform Evolution
This wasn't a one-time project. I continuously monitored, maintained, and expanded the platform based on user behavior and business needs:
New Components Developed:
Sliders – Interactive carousels showcasing insurance plans and benefits
Video Mode – Embedded video content explaining complex insurance topics
Landing Pages – Conversion-optimized pages for campaigns and specific audiences
Cards – Flexible components for service and product presentation
Each addition was carefully designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing design system while solving specific problems identified through analytics and user feedback.
Compliance & Data Protection
Health insurance websites handle highly sensitive personal data. I took full responsibility for:
